The heart of summer’s back-to-school sales tax holidays is almost here.
Eight states kick off their tax holidays on Friday, Aug. 7. They are Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
Tax-free shopping days start on Saturday, Aug. 8, in Arkansas and Massachusetts.
Sunday, Aug. 9, is when Maryland’s sales tax savings event begins.
Connecticut wraps up this summer’s tax holiday season. Its week-long holiday begins Aug. 16.
