Donald J. Trump's taxes are still under wraps, but a revealing statue of the Republican presidential candidate could be yours if you're willing to bid enough.

Surprise reveals across the country: Earlier this month, five identical life-size statues of a nude Trump appeared overnight on street corners in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Cleveland, Seattle and New York City.

The NYC clay version of the GOP White House hopeful was removed by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. The official reason earned almost as much attention as the artwork:

"NYC Parks stands firmly against
any unpermitted erection
in city parks, no matter how small."

Auctioning LA version: Most of the other statues were confiscated or destroyed, but the one at Hollywood Boulevard and Rodney Drive in Los Angeles is going on the auction block on Oct. 22. Julien's Auctions of LA is handing the event.

The statue, the brainchild of artist Joshua Monroe (alias Ginger) and the self-described American Activist Collective INDECLINE, is estimated to bring in $10,000 to $20,000. A portion of the proceeds will go to the National Immigration Forum.

Timing is everything: Is it coincidence that the Naked Trump statue auction announcement was made today? No.

Trump was in Mexico City earlier this afternoon meeting Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.

At a press conference following the session, Trump said they didn't discuss his hallmark "beautiful" wall along the U.S.-Mexico border or who would pay for it. The Mexican president disputed Trump's statement.

Tonight, Trump is scheduled to present his revised, some say softened, immigration policy.

Hello Tax Season 2026

Happy New Tax Year! Are you ready to file your 2025 tax return? I know, too early to ask. But Tax Day 2026 will be here before we realize it. The Internal Revenue Service deadline to file and pay any tax we owe is the regular April 15 date this year. It’s also Tax Day for most of the states that collect income taxes from their residents, which is most of the states! If that seems too far away right now, don’t worry. As is the case every tax season, the ol’ blog’s tips and other tax reminders should help all of us meet our state and federal responsibilities. Procrastinators also will want to keep an eye on the countdown clock just below. It tracks how much time we have until April’s Tax Day, just in case we put off our annual tax task until the absolutely final hours and decide we need to instead get an extension request into the IRS by that date. (Note: I’m in the Central Time Zone, so adjust accordingly for where you live.)

  • The hubby jokingly suggested we bid as a way, if we win, of irking our Homeowners Association by putting it in our front yard! Again, not the word “jokingly.” 🙂

Who in their right mind would want such a statue?
But then, those who support Dangerous Donald are not in their right mind!
